We are excited to share more good news from our
2019 Pre-Apprenticeship cohort!

Graduate Cortorian Causey will be starting a new position as a full-time Case Manager at Bank of America this fall.

Cortorian’s position is a perfect blend of his computer and his customer service skills—and exactly what we focus on during our Pre-Apprenticeship Program for recent high school graduates. We caught up with Cortorian a few weeks back to talk about his preparation for this position.

“I think what helped was all of the activities we did during the Lumity program, such as dealing with customers, communications between employees, and team-building exercises,” Cortorian explains. “The activities really opened my eyes to what I was doing wrong. Lumity prepares you for jobs before you get into them and increases your chance of being successful.”

Cortorian credits Lumity Program Facilitator Caleb Neal, who he still keeps in touch with, for helping him obtain his first position at Gold Coast Health and Rehabilitation in customer service and in navigating the job market. “Caleb really helps so that you don’t have to figure out everything on your own,” as Cortorian explains.

Congrats to you, Cortorian. We know the Bank of America customers will appreciate you as much as we do!
