Jeanette brings extensive experience and diverse expertise to her role as director of curriculum and talent development at Lumity. Born and raised in Chicago’s northwest suburbs, Jeanette earned her communications degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she played D1 volleyball. She launched a career in the film industry in Los Angeles, played on the Association of Volleyball Professionals Tour, and coached volleyball at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She then completed her master’s in Education at DePaul University and served as a Chicago Public Schools educator. While working at CPS, she earned a degree in instructional technology and curriculum design from National Louis University and a degree in educational leadership from the University of Illinois. 

Jeanette began consulting for Lumity in 2016. As a consultant, she has supported computer science initiatives, written curriculum, and led professional learning. She has also been an instructional coach and administrator, leading three urban school districts’ STEM and computer science initiatives. As the curriculum and talent development director, she will design learning experiences for Lumity staff and the students we serve.
