Dear friends and supporters of Lumity,

I am proud to serve as Managing Director at the Emerson Collective, which is dedicated to removing barriers to opportunity so people can reach their full potential. That’s why I’m engaging in projects here in Chicago that create meaningful employment opportunities for young people who have few options available to make a living in the legal economy.

So, when given the opportunity to support Lumity, a nonprofit dedicated to preparing teens and young adults in public high schools for meaningful careers in STEM, I took it.

I’m joining the Lumity team to serve as keynote speaker for its 2017 Annual Dinner. The work they do is literally saving lives by giving young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods the career and life readiness skills they need to thrive. That’s why I’ll be doing my part over the next three months to help make this dinner their most successful one to date.

If you’re not familiar with Lumity or simply need a refresher on this amazing organization, visit their website and check out this video highlighting the work they are doing to empower students through STEM.

I hope you can join me in Chicago on March 9, 2017 when we celebrate Lumity’s impact on the lives of more than 2,200 students it currently serves, as well as the remarkable work being achieved by their students.

I look forward to seeing you at the 2017 dinner.
