Kara Kennedy
Executive Director
Kara Kennedy has dedicated her career to nonprofits, ranging from health care, voluntary health associations, and youth-based organization. Kara joined Lumity in August 2009. She previously worked at Boys & Girls Clubs of America, American Lung Association of Metro Chicago (known as Respiratory Health Association of Metro Chicago), Alzheimer’s Association, and two community-based hospitals. Kara is a highly versatile professional with expertise in fundraising, program development and management, strategic planning, and organizational development.
Julie Henderson
Grants Management, Administration & HR
Julie was with Lumity for 13 years and recently retired in June of 2017. Lumity is grateful for her thoughtful competent service. JJulie brought more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and human resources to her role at Lumity.
Pamela Johnson
STEM Program Manager
Pam comes to Lumity from the litigation support industry where she spent 18 years as in operations management. Pam brings a passion for building relationships and her specialty is improving operational effectiveness and coaching teams to achieve their goals. Pam’s life purpose is supporting others to see their value in the world. Joining Lumity in March of 2017 as STEM Program Director, Pam is committed to bringing every student the best possible experience in learning the essential career and life readiness skills to thrive in today’s world.
Koz Kritzer
Operations Manager
Koz has over 25 years of experience in Accounting, HR and office administration. He oversees Lumity’s accounting,, and handles other administrative matters. Koz has a BBA in Accounting and a Juris Doctorate.
Andi Grabemeyer
Resource Development Manager
Andi believes that helping individuals become self-sufficient is critical to ending poverty. She uses her extensive experience as a program designer, program manager and fundraiser to help implement Lumity’s four-year STEM pathway plan and to develop relationships with donors and key stakeholders. Andi leads the implementation of Real World Projects. She holds a BA and is currently completing her Masters of Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management.
Chuck Munro
Director, Career Readiness
Chuck Munro is responsible for developing and implementing Lumity’s career readiness curriculum in partnership with high schoolteachers. He is an experienced educator who facilitates high-level personal development training that leads to meaningful learning. Chuck has a Masters in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership.
Caryn Curry
Consultant, Career Readiness Instructor
Caryn has over 30 years of experience working on behalf of children and families as a manager and practitioner in non-profit, community based and academic settings. She provides training on social emotional learning and is committed to supporting students to thrive and participate productively in life.
Nick Lamb
Career Readiness Instructor
As an advocate for STEM careers and more than 9 years in education, Nick Lamb utilizes all of his skills in each class to demonstrate opportunities for students and their futures. He has a BA in Acting/Directing and is owner of the critically acclaimed Aleatoric Theatre Company.
