Oakbrook Terrace, February 8, 2009 -- As part of Geneca’s initiative to support Chicago’s nonprofit community, Geneca today announced a contribution in support of Lumity’s efforts to help nonprofits improve their services. Geneca’s contribution influences $9,000 in valuable capacity-building services in information technology, financial management, community technology training, and recruiting.
Since 1985, Lumity has worked with with hundreds of nonprofits each year, helping them improve their capacity to deliver programs to their communities.
“Just as we’re seeing in the private sector, nonprofits are struggling with economic restraints,” states Geneca CEO, Mark Hattas. “So while we still need to get work done and deliver the necessary services to our clients, as leaders and influencers we need to pay more attention to improving performance and figuring out how we can do more with less.
“Lumity makes real and valuable contributions to community leadership in this area and we believe that it is more important than ever to financially support this mission.”
